So December 23rd I wrote my 50th blog post! WordPress sent me this:
I think that is kind of amazing! I never thought I would write a blog! I started writing only because my husband was so sick of me talking about my ideas about exercise, food, my journey, my progress…. I started writing here as a place to document where I was, where I was going and what I was thinking about.
I love numbers.
50 posts.
Over 6 months.
Countless of personal messages of love and support.
Over 12,000 views.
I’m not sure what those numbers mean in the blog world but in my world it’s pretty awesome!
This time last year, I was overweight and trying to gather my last little bits of hope and courage to set an appointment with a nutritionist to try to lose the weight one more time. Now, I’m a writer/blogger of a fitness and Clean Eating blog! Crazy how life can change! Now I’m fit, healthy and happy!
I love reminiscing. My favourite thing to do on Facebook is looking back at all my old photos. Here is a comparison of my kids from Christmas past and present:
So cute! Where has the time gone?
As the year is drawing to a close, I’ve been reflecting on 2014. It has been a huge year of change for me. I’ve been reading some of my older blogger posts and I thought it would be fun to share the five most popular posts. So here it goes: (click either the title or the picture to read the blog post)
Number 5: Mom-Don’t Read This Blog Post- It’s About Sex!
This post I was super nervous to share (obviously) but my mom was without internet at the time so I don’t think she ever did read it lol! Now is her chance! Hi Mom! This post had a funny segue about nuts and a recipe for homemade Kind Bars.
I’ve made the Coconut Cream Pie from this post so many times! It has become one of my favourite recipes and it shows that I can still be the “Pie Lady” but in a new, healthier way 🙂
Number 3: Can a Kale Salad Make You Happy?
This post is extra special to me since it was the first blog post I shared publicly (the two other post prior to this one I only shared with my friends Nicole and Sarah.) These ladies gave me the confidence to share my blog with you all 🙂 This post also has the recipe to the Kale Salad that changed my life.
Number 2: Choose Happy Even When It’s Hard
This post was another tough one for me to share since it was body image- something I still struggle with. The recipe from the post was my own recipe for Thai Coconut Pineapple Shrimp.
There is only ONE number ONE most popular post: Selfishly Happy (and we’re all okay with that)
It is okay to be a mom and be selfish! It’s okay to miss your kid’s basketball game so you can go to the gym. It’s okay to do things for yourself. It’s okay to be selfish 🙂 Your kids can eat the Sunflower Seed Butter Granola Bars from this post while they are waiting for you to get home from that strength training class!
Well, I hope you enjoyed this walk down memory lane. I have a whole bunch of food photos saved on my iPhone- I have been busy cooking so I will be adding new content to the blog very soon! Not sure if you noticed, but I’ve become quite the blogging genius! All the pictures and subtitles are clickable links to the appropriate blog post. I’ve been taking the time lately to actually learn how to use this WordPress site 🙂 Ha!
Choose Happy 🙂
Way to go partner!!! For the record, I LOVE that kale salad too, and that coconut Thai pineapple concoction (I am allergic to shrimp, so made mine with chicken instead) was equally delicious. I can’t tell you how many times I have come back here to find the perfect recipe for something! Keep it up 🙂

Tracey, you are an inspiration. You are happy and you are a consciously happy person who has shared your happiness with others. Congratulations on your accomplishments. I wonder where you will be this time next year, most probably still finding ways to share your happiness. God Bless.
